Online, Zoom-based music lessons are the most cost-effective platform for tuition. Allowing students to have engaging lessons at a wider scope of times and days, remote lessons are a big component to the future of private music education. Accelerando Tutors are dedicated to their students’ personal journey in the musical world, whether it is a serious artistic/performance endeavour, or simply just an enjoyable past time. Through music education, students individually study AMEB Courses, or a personally developed, non-exam course that propels students toward their goals, as well as the AMEB Theory of Music Course. Featuring teachers that have recently completed graded courses – and affordable rates – Accelerando understand the needs of each student and are not afraid to push them to see them succeed. While we recommend online lessons for those who are looking to take their music a little more casually, it is more than possible to complete a successful examination, meeting even the highest of standards.
Instrumental Tuition
Modern, youthful and prepared; our tutors are recent graduates of AMEB Grades themselves, so they know the perfect ways to engage students in an online setting, and still watch their technique and expression bloom. They are young and understand what is required for students to succeed, allowing them to easily connect with each student – even while online only. Tutors know how to push each individual student and help them realise their full potential in musical work. They each truly care about music, and about assisting every student in reaching their goals.
The Studio offers preparation for the AMEB Comprehensive Exam, Leisure Exam, and Repertoire Exams.

Theory Tuition
The Theory of Music provides a context to everything we play, share, and express in music. It is the foundation of learning that solidifies an instrumentalist’s knowledge of how the music they read corresponds with their instrument. Our tutors are theory-qualified and are passionate in inspiring students to pursue a generally “boring” subject in engaging, new ways. This is possibly one of the easiest subjects to deliver and understand via Zoom, and students love the availability of online resources and courses set by the Studio.
Inclusions
Lessons are invoiced in termly packages – ranging from 9-11 weeks dependent on the school year. Students are provided with a login to the Student Portal, which allows them to monitor their upcoming lessons, attendance, notes from previous lessons, and provides access to their sheet music. All our tutors are fully AMEB Qualified in their Instrument or Theory, and many of them are pursuing music further in their tertiary education. They hold valid WWCCs. They are constantly reviewing their own practice in their instrument, and their pedagogy. Additionally, those that elect to teach online are often retraining to understand digital technologies in the music education world to the fullest extent, so you can be sure your child has the most up-to-date and functional teaching programs.
